Salt City, Utah (AP) A Baked Goods maker salting River Market in Salt Lake City said Thursday it will relocate its business to the Salt City Marketplace in 2019.
The company said in a statement that the move will allow it to expand its footprint and focus on growing its business in the area.
The Salt Lake Market is a food and beverage chain that specializes in baked goods and prepared foods.
The brand’s new home will be located in the heart of downtown Salt Lake, where a new downtown retail space is under construction.
Salt Lake’s economy is booming, and it’s a natural fit for River Market.
The Bakersfield, Calif.-based company had more than 2,000 employees in Salt City when it closed in December, the Salt Lake Tribune reported.
Salt City is also home to the Utah Jazz, who play at the arena that opened in 2019 and are scheduled to return to the NBA’s Utah Jazz Arena in 2019-2020.
